As a neighbour in Spring Gardens Road we watched in amazement and with growing admiration for a chap who seemed to be single handedly building a house for himself and his family. It was Terry working in all weathers and seemingly toiling day and night to finally finish a splendid home for Jean and Neil. Ever after he was never seen without some kind of tool or paintbrush in his hand. A great neighbour to have. You only needed to say “ Terry we’ve got a problem!” And he was over like a shot with the essential tool in his hand, ready for action. 

Although we moved away, a return visit was always met with a welcoming smile.His legacy lives on in ‘THE HOUSE THAT TERRY BUILT!’
